Considerations for VB/ActiveX Applications

This functionality is supported only if you are using the Classic Agent.

If your VB/ActiveX application uses richtextbox controls, you need to base that control on riched32.dll version 5.00.213.4.1 which supports Unicode text characters. Before you begin using Silk Test Classic with Unicode content, check to make sure you do not have the older riched32.dll version (4.00.993.4). To do this:

  1. Using Windows Explorer, locate the riched32.dll on your system.
  2. Right-click the file and select Properties.
  3. In the riched32.dll Properties dialog box, click the Version tab. Make sure you have version 5.00.213.4.1.
