Object Map Scope

When you record additional visual tests or scripts, Silk Test Workbench searches the current project to find matching object map items to use when recording. If no matching items are found, Silk Test Workbench searches the Common project. If matching items are found in the Common project, those items are used. If no matching items are found in the Common project, Silk Test Workbench creates the new items in the current project.
Note: The only exception to this rule occurs when you are using a project other than the Common project but matching items exist in the Common project. If a new object is identified, it is added to the object map in the Common project if it is a child of an object map in Common.

To use only the current project with object maps, you can set the Object map scope option to Current project in the Options dialog box. With this setting, only the current project is used to find matching object map items and for recording new items.
