GetColumnName Function (ListView)

Class

ListView.

Action

Returns the name of a column of a listview in Details view.

Availability

This functionality is supported only if you are using the Classic Agent.

Syntax

sName = listview.GetColumnName (iColumn)
Variable Description
sName The name of the column. STRING.
iColumn The number of the column. INTEGER.

Notes

  • GetColumnName returns the internal name of a listview column. The column name is often displayed in a label on the column header of the listview. Silk Test Classic raises an exception if this function is called for a listview that is not in Details view.
  • The GetColumnName method is not available in the ListViewEx class, which is the equivalent of the ListView class on the Open Agent. To retrieve the column name on the Open Agent, use the ColumnTitle function of the HeaderEx class.

Example

Verify(MyDialog.MyListView.GetColumnName(1),"Column 1")
